Capital Cycles Returns Policy

Our Returns Policy and your Right of Cancellation

Your right to return an unwanted purchase is supported by a law known as the Distance of Selling Regulation.

You have a right to cancel your order and return your item(s) up to seven working days after delivery. This seven day period is also known as the cooling-off period. Your request must be done in writing - by post or by email.

To exercise your right of cancellation and return, YOU MUST CONTACT US IN WRITING - BY MAIL OR EMAIL BEFORE RETURNING YOUR GOODS. Once contact has been made you will need to provide us with your invoice number and we will agree a date when collection will be made.

Once you have returned your bicycle, we will refund or re-credit your account within 30 days, any sum that has been paid by you for the goods, excluding any carriage charges incurred by Capital Cycles. Please see the following notes below.

ESSENTIAL - PLEASE NOTE:

  • You have a duty under the terms of the Distance Selling Regulations to treat the goods with care and to return the goods in a way that they may be sold again by us.
  • You will be liable for charges if the bicycle has been treated without reasonable care or in any way that might potentially reduce the resalable value of that item.
  • You have a duty of care to ensure that the goods are not at risk of being damaged in transit. You must ensure that they are well wrapped and protected. If the original packaging is not available, you must find suitable alternative packaging.
  • The cost of returning any unwanted goods is not covered by Capital Cycles. All postage charges incurred by Capital Cycles will be deducted from the refund. ALL return carriage must be arranged by Capital Cycles. If you choose to use your own postage method, we will not refund you for this carriage either. You must make the goods freely available at the original delivery address, on the specific date agreed upon by yourself and Capital Cycles. The cost for returning your goods is £26 per bicycle.

We will refund any delivery charges (where charged) when a product is faulty or damaged, but not when a bicycle is unwanted - see terms and conditions
