Capital Cycles Returns Policy
Your right to return an unwanted purchase is supported by the Distance Selling Regulation. You have a right to cancel your order and return your item(s) up to seven calendar days after delivery.
To exercise your right of cancellation and return, YOU MUST CONTACT US IN WRITING - BY MAIL OR EMAIL BEFORE RETURNING YOUR GOODS.
ESSENTIAL - BEFORE RETURNING ANY GOODS, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING:
- You have a duty under the terms of the Distance of Selling Regulations to treat any goods with due care and to return any item in such a way that it may be sold again by us, as new.
- You will be liable for charges, deducted from your refund, if the item has been visibly used or treated without reasonable care or that in any way might potentially reduce the resalable value of that item as new.
- You will be liable for charges if the item is not repacked in the same way as it was when delivered to you - disassembled, wrapped and secure within the carton.
- You have a reasonable duty of care to ensure that any items being returned are not at risk of being damaged in transit. It is your responsibility to ensure that the goods are well wrapped and protected. If the original packaging is not available, you must find suitable alternative packaging. If the item is damaged in return transit, the loss in value of the item will be deducted from your refund.
- The cost of return postage is not covered by Capital Cycles. Any postage charges incurred by Capital Cycles will be deducted from your refund.
- Return carriage for bicycles must be arranged by Capital Cycles as we have very good rates. If you choose to use your own postage method, we will not refund you for the cost of carriage. Courier collection from your address is the only method of returns we accept. We will not accept returns delivered in person.
- Return carriage for bicycle accessories must be arranged by yourself, at your own expense. The address for returns will be given to you when the return is requested in writing.
- The cost for returning an item will only be covered by us if there is a manufactural/structural error. By this we mean that the item is structurally faulty. This will be determined by an independent inspector after the item has been returned and your refund will be made accordingly.
- If a bicycle is being collected, you must make it freely available at the original delivery address, on the specific date agreed upon by yourself and Capital Cycles. The collection will be made by courier between 9am and 6.30pm and someone must be present to hand over the goods. A specific collection time can not be given.
- The cost for returning a bicycle is £30 per bicycle. This is deducted from the cost of the bicycle and covers return carriage and warehouse asministration costs. Any postage charges you paid will not be refunded.
- Once your item(s) have been returned, we will inspect it/them for use and refund/re-credit your account accordingly within 7 working days
