Tube temperature set to hit 45C/113F – wanna be there?
The temperature on the London Underground is set to hit 45C or 113F over the next week or two. Do you want to be there, or would you rather be gliding through a light breezy park on a bicycle?
I cycled from Putney to the City yesterday. It was a 9.5 mile journey, took me 1 hour and the even though the temperature was over 30C, it was perfectly pleasant. It certainly beat taking the tube – which would have taken the same amount of time!
