It’s a question we get quite often and it is one we take very seriously. If a bicycle is going to be used to carry babies and children, you need to be sure that the bike is suitable and safe to attach child bike seats. Our new Modern Dutch Hybrid Bikes are exactly that:

1) To be able to have a front child bike seat, the bike needs a handlebar stem of 20-28mm. Ours have a 24mm stem diameter.
2) You want good brakes. We use Italian made Saccon alloy v-brakes – powerful, reliable and good even in wet weather.
3) You want good wheels and tyres. Our hybrid bikes have double walled aluminium rims and our tyres are thick, all weather tyres.

This is really important to have on a bicycle which is at all valuable. Now even though your Capital Modern Dutch  hybrid bike cost under £140.00, it looks like it should have cost a lot more.  For this reason – make sure you insure it, and in order to do this, you will be asked to provide the bicycle serial number.
This unique number is written on the box that the bike comes in and more importantly is stamped on the frame, beneath where the seat meets the seat post tube.
