Classic Dutch bikes are beautiful. They are striking, elegant and comfortable – but they are HEAVY, very heavy and a bit like driving a tank through traffic.
One of the more common responses i get from potential customers when I ask them what drew them towards our unique ‘Modern Dutch Style‘ hybrid bike is that they have/had a classic and loved it, but it was just impractical, cumbersome and impossible to ride over a bridge (let alone a hill).
That is why we designed our bike; our Modern Dutch Hybrid bikes weigh as much as a standard hybrid bike and are divinely practical, whilst still retaining the striking features of a vintage masterpiece, the two tone elegance of a Pashley and the ’sit upright’ comfort of a classic bike.
